History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera

I would say that there’s roughly about four main characters in the story. In order of importance, it would probably be Theo, Griffin, Jackson, and then lastly, Wade. But personally, Wade would have to be one of my favorite characters. To understand why I do, you should first understand one of the main points of the story: Wade is basically a third wheel throughout a good portion of the novel. Traditionally, readers always feel sorry for the third wheeler in any romance story, especially when “the Three Musketeers” becomes “a couple plus one,” as is what happens in this story.

The main reason why I love Wade is because at first you think that he’s a typical best friend character who’s threatened by Griffin’s and Theo’s relationship, but he actually is very supportive of their relationship. He doesn’t take it to heart, and he still there for them no matter what.

Unfortunately throughout the novel, Wade loses the connection between his group of friends, but even when they reconnect, he’s still super kind, and he isn’t bitter towards anyone. I think it’s really admirable to still be kind even after you stop being friends with someone. It shows that he’s a really good person, and he cares for people no matter what.
