The Hobbit
My favorite character in this book was Bilbo Baggins. He was a simple man who lived a peaceful life alone, keeping himself busy with his favorite hobbies. Bilbo was always in his comfort zone and never did anything risky. However, that all changed when he was lured into an adventure by an old wizard, Gandalf. Bilbo was to accompany a group of dwarves who wanted to retake their kingdom from a dragon. Throughout the journey, the little hobbit was put into some very dangerous situations that nearly ended his life but he persevered and survived everything that was thrown at him. The dwarves he was accompanying saw him as a liability at first but as they continued their adventure they began to respect him and considered him one of their own. This is what I love about Bilbo, his ability to overcome any obstacles that are thrown at him. He went from being a feeble man who only did things he was comfortable with to a resilient and brave adventurer who overcame so many obstacles and proved the doubters wrong.
