In the story the Awakening it is about a woman named Edna escaping her boring marriage and escaping what society expects her to do. Edna is a middle-aged woman with a husband and two kids, but that didn't hold Edna from going out into the real world and escaping from societies expectation. Not long after years of her marriage, she starts to drift off from her family and do what she wants by going out late and not doing anything in the house. Later in the book, she starts to follow her own heart by having affairs with people she meets around her city and almost gets caught with her secret lovers.
Review: I like this book because the plot was interesting, reading this book you'll be surprised by the main character's choices. Plus the story is pretty simple and I like simple books. Another reason why I like this book is because it has an adventure, the characters travel to many places and I like a book with adventure because when I read, it makes me feel like I'm there
