The Stranger-Albert Camus
The book will be put under the crime fiction genre and is a story about the man named Mersault. This book opens up with a sort of harsh beginning and is a little slow to start but you can tell from some foreshadowing and observing this characters actions of what type of person he is. The book opens with the death of his mother who he calls Maman and he visits this funeral. The book can be described as an existentialist point of view which means to question why we are on this earth? What are we born and made to do. The book has an amazing way of explaining emotions and giving you the perfect view of the situation our character gets put into and his surrounding. This book was able to hold my attention for the majority of the book, and this book was genuinely able to change my point of view, on something to which i will not give away, and this surprises me because I am very hard headed. I highly recommend this book it is only 123 pages in the book as well as being super easy to follow. I don't usually read in this type of genre but when reading this i was able to follow through the entire book and when I would stop reading I would want to start again and learn of what was to happen next to Mersault. This book sadly does not lead itself open to a sequel but definitely will leave you thinking for a couple days on the way events lead to it and will have you content yet mortified.

The fact that this book made you change your point of view is surprising. For a book to change someones point of view it means that the book must be really good. This book is definitely one I feel I should take a look at.
